In the last decade the Colombian government has been implementing a large quantity of RTC (Technical Colombian Regulations), normative documents that identify a list of mandatory certification products, separated by industry.

RETIE: ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION TECHNICAL REGULATION – RESOLUTION 90708

This regulation requires the mandatory certification of practically any component of an electrical installation, for residential or industrial use.

RETILAP: REGULATION OF RESIDENTIAL AND PUBLIC LIGHTING – RESOLUTION 180540

The fundamental objective of this regulation is to establish the requirements that must be met by residential and public lighting systems, aiming at consumer safety, prevention of the environment, and minimizing the risks caused by installations and use of lighting systems. This is why it requires the certification of any component of a lighting system.
